What Is HSDPA?

HSDPA is an acronym for High Speed Downlink Packet Access which is a protocol for 3G of the High Speed Packet Access (HSPA) family. HSPDA is an important protocol that allows UMTS networks to run at faster speeds with higher capacity.

HSDPA has been a part of the UMTS standard since release 5. HSDPA allows for uplink speeds of 384kbs/sec. That’s quite an improvement over the former best of 128kpbs.
HSDPA is a big part of future networks due to its ability to increase the effectiveness of broadband networks. Not only does HSDPA improve connection speeds, but it improves problems with latency, causing end users to have a better experience overall.
HSDPA is now so successful that HSDPA networks are being rolled out worldwide and now many USB HSDPA modems are being marketed as “mobile broadband cpnnections.” In the next few years there’s expected to be a large proliferation of HSDPA modems and networks.
If you want to see how HSDPA works, visit Singapore. Singapore is the only place right now running HSDPA nationwide. That should change in coming years as more countries upgrade.

A Rare and Stylish Cellular Phone from Kyocera

The phone that is shown above is a Kyocera e1100 which is the latest model of the Japanese mobile phone brand. This phone was actually introduced several months ago but until now we haven’t seen any action from them. It’s very unfortunate that this stylish phone, though not famous, has not reached the market yet. This Kyocera displays a very sleek design with its 89.5 x 52 x 16.7 mm dimension that weighs only 90 grams. This is pretty light and slim for a flip phone. This phone also features a hidden 16 x 104 OLED display on front that appears every time it receives any alerts. The things that lack on this phone are a higher resolution camera because it only has 1.3 Megapixel, and a Wi-Fi and 3G connection. If they will only include these on the package this cellular phone will definitely sell like hot pancakes.Let’s just hope to see this phone in the following months or so or if they can, maybe they could release the improved version instead of the original

Sony Ericsson TM506 Exclusively

Sony Ericsson has released a new phone which can be a good or a bad phone depending on the person’s preference. This Sony Ericsson TM506 is a flip phone which features T-mobile’s first ever 3G HSDPA.The Sony Ericsson TM506 features its flip design which only weighs at 101 grams in a 95 x 47 x 17.8 mm shell. It has a 2.2 screen with 262k colors and 240×320 pixels which is not impressive enough especially compared with the other phones that mobile brands have been releasing. Well, for a low end phone, this mobile phone may be a good choice because of its 3G capability. This phone’s internet browsing function is said to be blazing because of its high speed internet but the question is, for how long? So far there are only few users of T-mobile 3G since this is the first phone to support that function but what if the users increased in bulk? It will definitely cause a major slow down on T-Mobile’s 3G network.Aside from this phone’s 3G capability, it also has the usual phone functions like an mp3 player, video recorder, 2 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, etc. If you’re a person who prefer to have a smart phone, this mobile phone by Sony Ericsson is not for you because of its limited functions. This TM506 by Sony Ericsson is available through T-Mobile which costs less than a hundred dollar

We are featuring you this Nokia 1680 cellular phone that was introduced and released last year but is being reintroduced again this year in a much cheaper and affordable price. However, this cellular phone is still an entry level handset which makes it a poor cellular phone. The Nokia 1680 is an entry level cellular phone that is fairly attractive because of its stylish design that looks very slick and slim that many enthusiasts look for. Unfortunately, as it was said, this is just an entry level phone which means that it only includes poor functions including the VGA camera, and GPRS for internet connection. This cellular phone doesn’t include a music player or even an FM radio for entertainment which makes this a really disappointing cellular phone. This Nokia 1680 cellular phone is undoubtedly a stylish phone but people nowadays look for a functional handset.
